WHO EVEN IS SHE?

Chrissy Shackelford is an actor, writer, and comedian based out of NYC and Austin, TX. She currently writes for the Emmy award winning late night series Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. She was previously an actor/writer/producer on the Disney+ show The Big Fib hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown. From 2017-2019 she spent two seasons as a staff writer on the HBO late night series Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas, in which she also appeared on camera and in various voiceover spots. One of her original pilot scripts, Lone Star, about an L.A. lifestyle guru finding meaning in Austin, TX has received industry acclaim and was performed in a live reading at the historic Friar’s Club in 2018. Her solo character show Diane Shangri-La Presents: Not Dry Yet, about a former sex symbol of the 60s and 70s trying to claw her way back to fame, played at the UCB Theater in Chelsea in 2016-2017 as well as at UCB LA and Austin Sketch Festival. She’s appeared in sketch videos for Above Average, Comedy Central, and Refinery 29 and is a frequent online contributor to the satire site Reductress. She’s a former house sketch performer for the UCB theater appearing on Maude Night and Characters Welcome. She is currently repped by WME.
